I have recently applied for sponsorship from a body to attend a very crucial conference in my research field and I was denied by the body due the fact that sponsor classified the conference as being predatory conference. By all standards, the norms of good review were followed and the paper to be presented was well reviewed. The similarity index was even cheeked by the review crew. The conference has web page with outstandingly clear addresses/phone numbers and the activities to be carried out in the conference are well published. After all these, my would -be sponsor said, it is a predatory conference. Please, can anyone furnish me with other attributes that can be used to identify predatory conference/meetings and journals apart from explosiveness and false cloned web pages and addresses?
