it is not straight forward and not logical to compare, but your guess is correct. However not that sunlight at noon is ~100000 Lux and varies with day and somewhat place also. For Hg lamp it will be much small and also depend on distance from lamp. You can use Luxmeter which is well calibrated. Now a days rough estimation can be made using mobile phone with appropriate software search google and load.
