Several natural product chemists who used to be at ICIPE in Nairobi were interested in this area, and have recently moved to other Universities in Kenya. Also Paul Weldon (USA) has investigated animal odors looking for mosquito repellents in Kenyan waterbuck.
Baldwyn Torto, a naturla products chemist, has returned to ICIPE in Nairobi after being an associate of James Tumlinson at USDA, Gainesville FL, USA. Dr. Wijeratne was an organic chemist also at ICIPE.
