The increasing demand for biofuels and their production in the developed world drive not only grain prices up, but the effect is felt most acutely in developing countries where grain comprises a larger share of food budget/expenditure. In as much as the rich benefit from comfort in using bio-fuels, are there any safeguard/measures to help minimize or if possible prevent the trade-off links
I think one way to solve this problem is to choose feedstocks that would not be a direct threat to food security. Choice of used cooking oil, and suitable wild plants with the right oil composition are good options.

Integration of food production with using the wastes from food production to manuf. fuels is a possible way. It wou.d increase the agricultural profit and decrease the food price together with increasing the biofuel production as well. SInce in this not only the eatable but the non-eatable part of agricultural products would be processed, recyclization of mineral element content as fertilizer is an essential in these processes.
