I am doing a project which has an eccentric cam driving a cylindrical follower. The cam is made of gear pair and is driven by a 3 HP motor and I need to find out the reaction at the probe. I tried with ANSYS WORKBENCH and it does not take N and T together. Is there a solution to this? Can I do the same analysis in ABAQUS? If so, how can I give N and T together?
Have a look to this document. You should only properly define the contacts, than this analysis is feasable also with Abaqus.

It is possible to define N and T in ABAQUS . ABAQUS is more simple than ANSYS.

Assign a torque to the inner disc
· Rolling friction with outer disc
· Inner disc is eccentric (spur gear – ring gear assembly)
· Needs to find out the dynamic reaction coming at the top
