I am looking for a recommended method for cryopreservation of Tilapia milt and eggs with high fertilization rate. The resulted fresh fertilized eggs will be mincroinjected with DNA transgene.
As long as my experience, cryoprotectant that gives a good viability is ethylene glycol with slow freezing (at least 1 h equilibration at 4C). It will better to remove all semen plasma by centrifugation before loaded by Tris or other buffer and added an antioxidant.
