I am working on detecting mycotoxins in potatoes infected with Fusarium species with UPLC-QTOF-MS. I am using dried potato powder for analyses. However, despite applying several extraction methods, I am encountering poor recoveries—around 5%—which has hindered accurate quantification.

Could you please provide me with some suggestions or adjustments to the extraction protocol that might improve the recovery of mycotoxins in this matrix? I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
