Normally Land use map prepare using satellite image with varies resolution (1m, 5m, 10m, 23m etc.,). The land use map scale varies based on the image resolution. You can use 1:50000 landuse map. It is download from Bhuvan website https://bhuvan-app1.nrsc.gov.in/thematic/thematic/index.php. all the best
Dear Miyuru Bandara Gunathilake I have a 90m resolution data for land use. I can resample/regrid it to 30m but nowadays latest data at fine resolutions are available. Sentinel 2 data is available at 10, 20 & 60m resolutions. I just want to use 30m data, if available.
Landsat is the best for you. Please go on to EarthExplorer portal at www.earthexplorer.usgs.gov.
You will need to register, log in and do a place search for your research location. Then you will find the data sets tab beside search criteria. Then look for Landsat, click the (+) sign, then click any of the drop down list apart from the (on demand option). At this point you will see series of landsat images that covered your study area. Then click, the result tab just beside additional criteria tab. After the results have been displayed, you can do a preview of the any of the images to select the cleanest and the best without excessive cloud cover or strips/lines.
Based on the image resolution, you will fix the scale for Map. The 23m LISS-III or 30m Landsat images will give 1:50000 scale land use map with reasonable accuracy.
