I would like to know the approach of working in Openfoam. I have some experience working with ANSYS Workbench and also a little bit in ANSYS Classic. Wanted to know if Openfoam interface is more to userfriendly(GUI like Ansys Workbench) or is it required to do the codes/command programming for any simulation... partically involve heat transfer, melting and freezing

As some addition to above comments, since openfoam include more options in solvers such as phase change including heat transfer, melting and freezing cases, turbulence models and schemes I advice you try and see. Although, OpenFOAM is not userfriendly at the beginning for new users, but you will learn lots of new things since the code is open and rising the number of personal tutorials.
