Human studies are more relevant to the project, however there are more mouse studies because it is mostly carried on neuron progenitor cells to identify the effect of a virus in the development of neurons in the brain of infants.
If in this case i use mouse studies it would be less powerful to represent a human population?
I am willing to hear any advice and suggestions on what I could do.

Ghulam Md Ashraf Thanks so much for the advice. In this case would I have to specify in the research? to what extent is it appropriate to specify both population types when my focus is targeting born babies neuron development?
In my opinion, as long as data (studies) are available on humans it is preferable to focus on those studies. However, in cases where there limited or no studies on humans, a meta-analysis of animal studies is an option. From my experience, the challenges of working on an animal study are the absence of standard protocols, a limited number of published meta-analyses to compare with.... while the advantage is plenty of studies available for data extraction.
