Dear Hiba,

When you make a partition (face/cell/edge) nodes are assigned there by default. So the easiest way would be to make a partition for e.g. a plus symbol type in which put the centre of the plus at the distance you want your node to be. From query find the node number and remember it for post processing.

Another very easy way would be to define the particular point as reference point, and it will be a node and you can post process without remembering the node number.

There can be other ways as well, but I guess this might work for you.

As you know the node number, go to odb field output, check for unique nodal, and select the parameter you want to extract at that node. then go to right side, i.e. element/node selection; there click on node labels and write the node number click done. thats it.

It is not clear that your problem is whether in modelling or in visualization of your results.

If you want to create the node with defined distance, it is applicable by node creation when you give your node any specific coordination. You can define it easily by coordination.

For getting your results, you can use both field output and history output options available in Step module. I particularly suggest to use History output and activating needed variables for your node.
