Any advice for an in vivo experiment (mouse) with the administration of EMETINE, oral or i.p.? Has anyone performed in vivo exp. with emetine?

There are publications which tell about the in vitro usage of emetine, yet only few papers telling about the in vivo administration (which are from 70s). Also I read on somewhere that emetine can be toxic when it is given orally, so they used i.p. Is there anyone who did this kind of experiment before? what is the dosage if it is given i.p??
