Although maturation and biological age are difficult to be captured by a battery of tests without having into account biological markers, we are interested in knowing tests that could be useful for this issue to be used in applied context (football sport cities). We know tests based on prediction of adult stature, but we are interested also in other aspects of maturation.

take a look at this paper from Robert Malina et al (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/22304621/) Interrelationships among invasive and non-invasive indicators of biological maturation in adolescent male soccer players. It details a number of invasive vs non-invasive measures (although for purposes of correlation; but does offer some ideas of tests).
A little bit left field is perhaps some of the work looking at 2d:4d digit ratio and it's relationship with sporting performance, among many other things.
