Has anybody ever tried to perform antigen retrieval on frozen tissue sections by incubation in sucrose? We tried that in case of murine iNOS in the spinal cord and it works pretty nice. However, I found just one note on this in the literature:

Article Shi, S.R., Cote, R.J. & Taylor, C.R. Antigen retrieval immun...

- section "Non-heating Method"

(Nota bene, I do NOT ask for sucrose incubation in order to cryoprotect the samples.)
