Dear Shivam, I wonder to learn what molecules or ingredients in cow urine have anti-bacterial properties? The anti-biofilm effects of these molecules can be examined against biofilm forming pathogenic bacteria both Gram + and Gram -. Besides, P. aeruginosa, S. epidermidis, S. aureus and important uropathogenic E. coli strains can be examined in biofilm studies.

You may be after an potential approach to infer about "health" in cattle. Depending on how your project unfolds you may be evaluating a biomarker for health and if not for other complex traits based on assessing the urine. I encourage you to move on with your project. Despite the empirical approach of checking the bacteria sensitivity (which sounds simple and accurate), I suggest to you t start quantifying some urine analytes, all the way from Igs to hormones and salts. Although not an urine expert, I have been working with a extensive list of biomarkers and I'll be more than happy to contribute with your research.

    I hope you are considering only chemical compounds that inhibit biofilm formation in different bacterial strains. If so, make sure that the urine sample is not contaminated by other microorganism, as it may lead to false positive results. In my view, the work is interesting, however only anti-biofilm activity will not be attractive. Yes, I hope some of the pathogens should show higher zone of inhibition. Here, you may be later asked for the bioactive compounds which led to anti-pathogenic activities.

If you address them carefully during your work, I hope it will be an interesting project.
