Using the setup from the attached image, the following error occurs:
Setup:
Geometry>Mesh>Mechanical APDL
Trying to open the analysis as MAPDL.
When I try to open MAPDL it just flashes a black command window and doesnt open.
I went into the folders where the .wbpj is saved and found the error file (file.err).
It had this error in it:
*** ERROR *** CP = 0.266 TIME= 11:12:12
The /MENU command is either not available for this version of ANSYS or
the appropriate product was not selected for this session.
Contact your ANSYS support person for more information.

Solution found:
I had to right click on "Analysis" and click "properties".
Inside the properties, I changed:
General>License>UseLicensePreference
to
General>License>OurFacilitiesLicenseType (whatever it was) prepost
worked!
I observed your comments related by using APDL-ANSYS with ANSYS WORKBENCH. When you wish to open these hybrid packges in ANSYS, you must check first the element type, the topology of geometry. Also, you don't open direct it, but you must select edit mechanical APDL as shown in the attached figures.
Dear researcher, I think it is a software error, you can reinstall and try the program. With all respect.
