Hi,
I want to mesh zero thickness walls in Ansys Fluent Meshing.
As boundary name, I used "wall" for this zero thickness walls. But when simulating those walls are not considering.
This walls are inside the 3-D fluid domains. (Just as baffles)
If any of u know why this is happened please help me.

Consider that a surface area and mesh this surface area with plane or 2-D element.

Let you make a solid cube: that cube's volume you can mesh with 3-D solid element then cube has surfaces also that surface you can mesh with 2-D plane element. Using 2 different elements and 2 different material models you have to do it.

It is correct to use Boolean operations and inflation, that is to say, make 3d solid, then , subtract another solid just as baffles and finally, use inflation to create thickness.

I am simulating a zero thickness rectangular winglet in FLUENT. I add-frozen a cuboid in channel and then named its side as wall. The rest of the body is treated as interior. I am not able to get the answer. Can someone guide how could I proceed to create zero thickness winglet.

I completed this few years before.
You can do this using extrude option in DesignModeler. follow this,
-Draw the sketch (cross view sketch, this will be 2D exude)
- extrude> in detail view > as thin surface

Well, if I am getting right, I will extrude a solid surface. I did this, but after meshing when I opened in fluent, winglet was not present in boundary conditions . I don't know what to do.
