Dear experts,
I am experiencing problems with my first big ansys apdl model. The model is of a slab where a light concrete lays on top of a steel sheet with gaps that occurred on a real life test model in a lab is illustrated by spacing between the two materials and the connection between them is made with a very stiff link8 element.
I'm anxious since the model is not yet full size, it's suppose to be 10 times longer. I would be really grateful for any help or advise that may point me in the right direction. I've attached pictures from the outpout window after running the first iteration, pictures of the model and below is the solution script that I've been using. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or if you want to take a look into the other scripts that I've been using.

From your picture, I saw that your problem is too big for your computer. Total equation is nearly 8mils, and Ansys requires ~74GB of Ram for in-core memory solver. When running in-core memory solver, the data will be stored in RAM. Otherwise, the data will be stored in hard drive, and this leads to extremely slow solution (because it takes time to copy data (~74GB) from hard disk to ram, and repeat for each iteration).
