Thank you for the explanation. Well, I have used two different methods (Case study research for ongoing projects, and Content analysis for extracting data from Arbitration cases). Both of them are independent research having different methodology. However, in over all research, findings from the two methods complement each other. I needed to me more sure about use of 'term' Case study Research or Content Analysis [I might have missed some points in translation].

It is mainly case study research as particular, remedies or nature of claims, damages etc. are based on technological content like civil aviation, infrastructure etc. However if somebody would try to analyse structure, mechanism etc. through a review of documents and specific clauses then it is like a discourse analysis. The latter analyses content of arbitration agreement, court orders, injunctions and damages

Arbitration in Iran depends on its subject. In any scientific or working field, you should use the same resources and the verdict is used. Of course, in the judgment is the principle of creating satisfaction between the parties, not the right to the right.

As far I get the methodology, in Case Study research a research team has flexibility of using information from various sources (even outside the projects) to build the case study report. In a research based on the content analysis of the Arbitration cases, the research team (and the elevator of the content) are restricted to analyse the concerned documents only. Hence, this distinction can be used to differentiate two methodology.

I would probably distinguish "Case Study Research" from "Legal Research," as case studies are often employed to look at the circumstances of a proffered situation which offers an opportunity for learning or understanding, versus Legal Research, where one is looking up not only adjudicated cases, but also the statutes, case law from prior rulings (precedent) and formulating a legal argument one way or another. If it is purely analytical, it may fall under regular social science research methodologies if it is not being presented to a legal journal or law review journal. Thank you Izetta Morris for adding another perspective to this discussion. So far, I was considering only from the perspective of analytical method. Of course, in the same documents (say Arbitration cases) researchers can look for Legal angle, construction angle for me, or other aspects. I look in the content of the books you have suggested. I hope it can be bought in our Library.
