Dear community,
I am planing to transplant human cells into a mouse disease model and would require the use of immunosuppressive drugs. Usually I read in publications that people daily i.p. inject the drugs or rely on mouse with a defective immune system.
Since my time line is pretty long, we have a rather large cohort of animals that will undergo a lot of behavioral testings, I would like to avoid daily injections.
Do you know if there are substances, slow release systems or other alternatives that are longer lasting in the field of immunosupression?
Unfortunately, the use of conventional genetically modified models is not a good option for us because we do not want to alter the inflammatory responses in the disease model before implanting the cells. Or are you aware of reliable inducible immunosupressed genetic mouse models?
I would be very thankful for any suggestions!
Many thanks!
Ruslan
