After mitomycin treatment, can splenocytes keep synthesizing mRNA?

I'm culturing T cells with mytomycin treated splenocyte as APCs. After 3 days, I want to collect cultured cells for rt-qPCR. I don't know if I need to get rid of APCs so that they wouldn't contaminate the mRNA pool. So I want to know if mitomycin treated APCs stop synthesizing mRNA or not.

If I were you, I would isolate T cells (using a bead based method or sorting) at the end of the culture and use the isolated T cells for qPCR.
