Highlights may include: career objectives, academic qualifications, education experience, research experience, community service, skills, other certificates, and professional references.
I would suggest similar formatting of CV's across varies disciplines whether social science or basic science etc. I do not think that the actual structuring would change, although obviously the content would be the deciphering point. I would agree with the previous comment although prioritize publications, posters, oral presentation, and funding support.
