An ordinary t-test assumes simple random sampling. It sounds like you need to take a look at the Complex Samples module. Chapter 11 of the Complex Samples manual (link below) looks relevant, as the t-test is a simple form of General Linear Model. HTH.

Method of sampling has nothing to do data analysis or statistical tool be used. Analytical tools to be used mainly depends on levels of measurement. so if you had measured perception on rating scale, which of course is at interval level, you are then to make use of student-t test. and this will be possible so far you had the gender variable categorised into male and female section (nominal level).
