I am trying to install abaqus 6.14 (abaqus 2016) in my workstation (client machine)
Error is coming while giving licence server, can anybody help me in resolving this error
Error:
Unable to validate FLEXnet server [email protected]
QueryServer.pl Exited with return code 1
StdOut:
StdErr: Couldn't find ABAQUSLM running on [email protected]
The ABAQUSLM vendor daemon is down or the
FLEXnet license server host is not running a
license server for Abaqus products.

Try to ping the server 10.1.1.225 from your client computer to see whether it is reachable.
I tried that, there is no issue. Both server and client are communicating well
You might:
1. check if your system's firewall allows communication between client and server;
2. check if the license file is present;
3. check if Abaqus knows the correct location of license file (check abaqus .env file);
4. check if the license file has the correct parameters;

Some things to try/check:
Check whether the license server program is running.
Check whether file permissions are correct.
Use the abaqus licensing tools on the license server to see whether this reports a problem.
Check whether the port is actually open for communication.

I tried installing new abaqus version abaqus 2016, it installed well.
May be in old setup, some files may be missing/ not compatible with windows 8. exact reason don't know.
