You could try different media ( such nutrient agar medium with sucrose (NAS)) or different  infected plant parts, then compare the results, connect with other researcher and collaborate with them to use their PCR and sequencer facilities,

The bacteria on your picture look like typical Pseudomonas. Pomegranate is infected by Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. savastanoi (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/264052021_Characterization_of_bacterial_knot_disease_caused_by_Pseudomonas_savastanoi_pv_savastanoi_on_pomegranate_Punica_granatum_L_trees_A_New_Host_of_the_Pathogen), and I guess, it can be damaged by P. syringae pv. syringae or related bacteria.
