I am working with Pancreas and I am running a western blot. Glut2 is the primary antibody that I am using , I used Abcam antibody 1/500 primary and 1/2000 secondary and I saw clean signals in each of my sample but in a different molecular weight ( around 45 Kda) same thing with Liver , there were clean band showed ( around 45 kilodalton) for Glut2.I would appreciate if you. can share your experience

GLUT2 can be N-glycosylated. The differences in molecular weight are due to differences in N-linked glycosylation. The molecular weight of mature glycosylated GLUT2 is between 55 and 65 kDa. However, there can be a minor form of GLUT2 ranging from 38 kDa to 45 kDa which is often detected in hepatocytes that may represent a non-glycosylated or proteolytic product.
