The aim is developing a set of the questioner, as a qualitative too, to measure one of the research parameters.
As the subject is relatively under searched, I was just wondering if it academically acceptable if I use, and of course reference, indicators from one of the guides to inform the structure and type of the survey?

I think it should be ok, if there’s a lack of existing material you’ve got to use what is available as long as it’s referenced it should be fine.

It is very useful and necessary to ask about variables and problems of the industry from operation manager or industrial guide, but it is better after collecting of your data and information, you ask some academic professors ideas about them. I did exactly in this way in my master thesis.
