We are seeking American and British English teachers/lecturers/professors (preferably female, but male speakers are welcome too) to provide recordings for our study.
My name is Nguyen Thuy Hien, a senior student majoring in English Linguistics. Our research team, including two other members, Minh Kiet and Minh Thu, is conducting a research project titled: "The Intelligibility, Comprehensibility, and Academic Acceptability of Native and Non-native English Accents to English-majored Listeners at TDTU.".
Speakers are asked to record some specific English materials which will be given to you after you agree to join this project. This document is called “SPEAKERS’ MATERIALS” including 20 sentences, a short passage and 4 extemporaneous questions. The recordings will then be compiled to create a listening task designed to assess the intelligibility, comprehensibility, and academic acceptability of various English accents.
