Working on an aquaponics farm in the Dominican Republic that also has a hatchery. They are having problems getting fish to consistently produce fry as well as some poor plant health. Currently the only record rates of Nitrogen, Temp, and pH frequently. I was wondering what other water quality measurements should be watched (specifically if telling my boss to buy an DO meter is worth it)
A dissolved oxygen concentration (DO) meter working with a Clark polarographic oxygen electrode would provide valuable information, not only from the biological perspective, but also from the viewpoint of energy saving, since monitoring DO levels should be helpful to improve the energetic efficiency of the aeration system.
