Wondering if the cells will retain mCherry fluorescence after fixation with 4% paraformaldehyde and storage in dark for couple days? Our FACS machine broke down so we had to store the labelled cell. they were fixed and left in 4C with Alfoil (Dark) for 2 days, we dont see any cherry in these cells that previously showed wondering if the cells have silenced it or its degraded or bleached due to fixation and/ or storage?
