Will it be possible to detect target cDNA that is about 600 bp by qPCR?

I am transfecting mammalian cells to express my target protein. In order to know if my transfection is successful, instead of WB, I would like to check with qPCR. However, cDNA sequence of my target is around 600 bp and I am not sure if it is possible to check it by using two steps RT-qPCR method? My plan is to extract a total RNA and make a cDNA first strand followed by qPCR for checking the 600 bp of my target. Can share your experience? Thanks
