Will a magnetostrictive material loose its remnant magnetization under the absence of a Dc bias field or Permanent magnet?

Imagine a magnetostrictive material that has been biased initially such that it has a remanent magnetization now this bias field has been removed and the material is put under tensile stress under such a condition will the material lose its Br?

Yes, it is possible that your crystal structure is distorted in such a way that the net magnetization or Br that you obtain from VMS data is zero.
