Thousands of good researchers and excellent consultants are available in the world, but without good use for leading economy ,as politician's are dominating economy, why most countries still not using scientists to lead economy?
Despite the important case of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long-Term_Capital_Management as bad example, the following thoughts may apply to your query: economics is about production, politics is about distribution. Science today is used for production, but politics is about the power structure and dominating moods in a certain population. In this sense, politics is closer to rhetoric, while economics is closer to logic.

There is nothing in the world more stubborn than a corpse: you can hit it, you can knock it to pieces, but you cannot convince it.
Alexander Herzen
As long as politics is the shadow of big business, the attenuation of the shadow will not change the substance.
Dear Academics,I have spent many years of my life on scientific research on the genesis and implementation of economic reforms in Poland, but also in many other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. I got to know the nature of politicians and economists who wanted to improve the economic system or tried to advise the government in preparing and implementing changes in specific economic policies. Politicians and political parties are a completely different world than economics and economists as scientists aspiring to exact science based on mathematics, logic and financial models. Both in non-democratic systems (e.g. in the communist bloc under the control of the USSR) and in democratic systems, politicians are guided by the current situation and treat the population, citizens of the country as a base of political influence, potential friends or potential enemies in the struggle for power and maintaining this power. Politicians influence the emotions of the crowds and try to steer emotions for their purposes of the political game. The political process is above all other processes in the history of nations and states. Politicians and groups use economists and their scientific achievements only when they urgently need, for example, to save themselves from a socio-economic crisis, as a result of which they may lose power, or when they want to have them as an instrument for convincing manipulation of voters. Politicians rarely need to reach for the achievements of economic science, because mainstream economics rejects populist ideas of politicians and many economic research results show how unfavorable is the large share of the state and political parties in the long term for the condition of the country's economy, if only because of phenomena such as waste resources as a result of voluntary decisions of political leaders, political corruption, nepotism, or indebtedness of states to monstrous levels and financing current expenses of the country at the expense of future generations of citizens of a given country. The idol of politicians is populism, lust for power and pride. On the other hand, economists, even very well educated and socially recognized, offer rationalism, pragmatism and economic calculus showing in specific models the calculation of what, for how much and when it will be profitable or not profitable. Only in meritocracies is it possible to adjust the political and economic worlds for some time, because private business is the basis for financing the state in this system. Best regards
The use of researcher scientists as leaders in the economy is a topic of debate. While scientists are highly respected and valued across the world, politics and economics are different fields that require different skills and expertise. Politics is about power structures and dominating moods in a certain population, while economics is about managing resources and making decisions that affect the economy as a whole. While some argue that scientists should be involved in economic decision-making, others believe that mature leaders, irrespective of their training, who respect science for what it is, should be in charge. Additionally, there may be practical challenges to using scientists as leaders in the economy, such as the need for specialized knowledge and skills in economics and finance, as well as the need for political savvy and leadership skills. Ultimately, the choice of leaders in the economy depends on various factors, including the political and economic context, the needs of the country, and the skills and expertise of the individuals involved.
