As you know a lot of researchers investigation about subject that it is only research, and the society don't need it and a person for positions need it.
I do not think that knowledge is produced only for the sake of knowledge. Unless a researcher addresses a particular problem that is of relevance , either for society, or for increase of knowledge, that research will be of no use. Some researches may seem at present to be without a purpose. Faraday was once asked , what is the utility of dynamo he invented. He responded "Of what use is a new born baby? "Eventually it is due to Faraday's research that electricity, the life blood of our civilization is produced. perhaps, Faraday envisioned such a future, perhaps not. But a seminal research will have an impact on society , whether it be in our lifetime or not. Nowadays fund giving agencies give a lot of thought to many parameters, like national significance of the study, international significance of the study,how the study will contribute to knowledge, etc. etc. Sometimes Ph.D. research is carried out on esoteric subjects which may be of little relevance to the present day society.But unless the researcher can show the utility of his study, he may get the degree but cannot advance any further.Therefore, all research needs to be published. I always encourage my scholars to publish their research. In fact one of my scholars has already published his thesis in book form.

It may be difficult to predict how a research result will be useful at the time the result is published. Only later will the use of the research result becomes more obvious. The best we can hope is that the original study from which the research result was obtained had been done in such a fashion under a methodology that is well-designed and verifiable.

To keep yourself busy in the system feeling important with whatever you are doing so you do not become unsatisfied realizing that something is somehow wrong here.

Me neither. As far as I can say in most cases it is produced to strengthen or weaken a certain position.

Every research has a purpose. In most cases it is of course not to really discover something outstanding or start a supermission into the dark unknown. Tell me: How can this anyway be the case when someone is busy with defending a certain position or thinking in the same realms. This is impossible. It isn't going to work. The most funny thing is when researchers start to call certain thoughts methods saying "We are applying methods!" not realizing how this in itself is already pointing into a certain direction. Anyway, it is really funny...

Yes. And that is exactly when you need programs over programs over programs in order to keep people busy which in itself makes sure that they will not advance as they do not have time to grow.

Another milestone in breaking self-thinking. One day they will maybe develope student robots. Because that is the only thing you are encouraging in people here. To become robots that write papers, that publish papers. Who do not think about the ethical consequences. All research >>needs
Who said to your that research is practical oriented? In former times research had but one aim: To find the purpose of the world and a way back to God. And there was no other aim. Everything else was considered physical. So who said to your that research is practical orientied? Who teached you that? People without a sense. It is the very same people who insist that you believe that your life is meaningless. The very same people reduce you to practical matters and making you a senseless slave producing papers and following a work that is meaningless for you since it has no outcome and you have no sense for what you are doing here. Most people strengthen positions and they do it because they believe someone from above this system may reach out his hand and see what a genious you are and give your work something like sense so you will gain any outcome in the form of growth which is furthermore definied as a better reputation or money. And people sacrifice their motivation, their energy, their life and at least sense for... guess what... NOTHING. Because that is where you go following this system. You roll into the big fat NOTHINGNESS were you even lose your sense. And there you stand on the other side defending nothing telling me something about 'practical use' while we both know, at least you should have a feeling how this is all crap, that something is honestly rotten in the state of Denmark.

We have long left the Middle Ages when the only quest was to understand God or the meaning and purpose of life .In this capitalist age, pure research is a myth. Even so called 'pure research" , like finding life on Mars , has a practical aspect-is it fit for human colonization?
