I think the managerial team of ResearchGate is doing its best to encourage researchers by aiding in their development via the diverse range of opportunities (Questions and Answers, Projects, Research Interests, Collaborators, Contributions, Matrix indicators of readings of one's research papers, customized C.V. for professional placement- NOTE: These are my personal favorites).
If I had the opportunity to occupy the position of CEO, I would have probably done these same duties though I would have loved to organize a global academic forum where the members on Research Gate could meet to deliberate on new paradigms in research, associate and make face-to-face contacts. I think the virtual academic platform we are enjoying now is great but an annual face-to-face research forum would be very exciting as well and would bolster the confidence and collaboration of both the seasoned and novice researchers in the research development of especially the latter.
I agree with you and I accept your sentences but as you know a lot of reserchers are member of ResearchGate now and but, low percentage of members refer to it for one week or one month. What is your opinion about this issue?
That situation is not comely. I think if there are constant reminders sent to suchlike ones it will be the best option. For instance, automated mails can be sent to them whenever questions in their field of expertise or area of research is asked or key publications are uploaded on the platform. I don't think it is their interest that has waned but they may be saddled with academic work. I think these constant reminders will motivate them to share in the weekly discussions. Thank you for the sensitization and the rekindling of the desires of our cherished colleagues on this platform. Best regards
I think that the most important is to encourage those researchers with ambition and who seek and tell the truth about scientific research, the same for journals . Also to put plans that refuse the fake journals and those researchers who cheat in the scientific facts.
Hi Dr. Vahid, thank you for the question. It is a good forum for researchers to exchange knowledge, I think high scores should be given to research not just to general contributions. I noticed some colleages have scores more than 200 points but ZERO research articles.
