Why the flow direction is reversed and results are not converging, when the mesh gets finer?

I am using ANSYS Fluent and I did a set of steady state analysis for four different grid sizes and used the results to do a mesh independence analysis and as the mesh gets finer the results are not acceptable and not converging. And the flow direction shown in the vector contour is not as expected. It would be very helpful if someone could show me what might be the reason. Thank You

If your mesh is too fine you might be detecting small localised instabilities in the flow, which mean that you won't be able to reach a converged solution. You could try increasing the length scale so it smooths out the small instabilities.
