Why some solution do not make a good thin film on bororsilicate glass substrate even with different coating techniques whereas same solution becomes very hard to remove from glass beaker which stick during synthesis procedure.
1. some material react with the glass material. for example during cleaning the glass of multimeter of acetone full screen become whitish from transparent it become opaque.
2. some solvent react with glass can not form film
3. the material should have either property of viscosity or should have volatile nature.
Hi Anuradha, thanks for your insight but i am talking about same material for same material of glas beaker and substrate. You might have observed that after synthesis, your glass beaker get layer of material that we want synthesis but same solution not able to coat over when we want to coat on glass substrate (same content of beaker)
Soak the glass slides in pirana solution for 10 min then clean with isopropyl alcohol, acetone finally with DI water. This can improve the film adhesion
