Why silicone oil is used in oil baths and no other oil?
Silicon oil is not vilotile, usually one component liquid paraphine, no smell, well controlled properties.

Yes, its inflamable in the balk. But you can burn it in a candle mode. That is still a liquid paraphene, CnH 2n+2 is the chemical formula. It is a saturate, has a lot of hydrogen.
If we treat the nanoparticles with aptamer, can't we call it functionalized nanoparticles?
