Why scientists stand silent before the challenge of pollution, especially researchers in the filed of the environment?
We all see and know what is happening around us from pollution to our environment from emissions of gases, whether from factories or from car exhausts or from the reliance on unclean energy in our daily lives. It is better for my brothers to reach as fast as possible to discover suitable solutions to achieve what may damage our environment, Daily life and thank you.

Thank you for the good question. Pollution problem is a common problem in most countries in general and the third world in particular. Unfortunately, there is no value for the humans in third world so that, safety and comfort is the last choice.
A very good question dear Dr. Malik, that is because strict environmental legislation here in Iraq do not exist and if it exists it is not applicable. So we must be ashamed of our selves for this. Good luck

Scientists in 3rd world countries (& in many countries around the world) have either no effect or very little effect on governmental policies towards tackling the problem of pollution. A single billionaire in a country will be listened to more than thousands of scientists. I shall give a short story about how careless the officials can be:
35 Years ago, a distinguished chemist carried out research concerning the cations that are found in drinking water of several towns & cities in his homeland. He found that the large city, in which he lives, has water which contains excessive amounts of Ca2+ ions (i.e. the water is very hard). He suggested a solution at the sources, to the municipality, in which these ions are captured turning water to a soft one. Nobody, at the top, implemented that "cheap" solution since then.
Imagine how many persons have suffered from gall bladder stones & kidney stones and how many persons died from that calcined water in more than 3 decades. They sought top positions without holding responsibilities in front of God, humanity, and history. How come ?
numerous researchs are published yearly about those problems but to stop them, it is a political decision
