in our modern era majority of people from physics family following STRING THEORY.....why?

String theory not yet passed even a single test....how can we accept string theory, supper string theory....in future may be super super string theory....
I don't know why physics blindly following string theory please comment on this...
physics does not develop unless you follow different path. ....

i am not opposing string theory ....i am just talking truth because we wasted lot of valuable time (1943 to till now)....its the time to re-think about string theory....
so please answer with truth and don't answer this question with love towards string theory...we are the family member of physics and math so answer with open heart...

Don't forget that they tested the double bending of light only, which was already observable with the solar eclipse of 1914. The Mercury perihelion test is with Schwarzschild metric, giving issues like an infinite time to be needed to form black holes, the mathematical impossibility to get black holes in GRT (see Stephen Crothers' work) etc. Other "test" of GRT are calculated by other metrics which are *not* exact solutions of GRT.
So,the publicity about "Einstein is right again" is just needed to sell bigger computers to universities and to sell more expensive apparatus to states.

Sting theory or quantum loop, etc. greatly depends on the establishment/university and its physicists, I understand the publicity of string theory is enormous and you feel it unfair. There has been a lot of fanfare about ST in popular magazines for decades. Many take sides in the quest for a unified theory.
My advice, do not be concerned what others think and believe. Do your own work.

I would say: the Einstein cult is promoting belief for the student and introducing fraud for the masters.
If you are interested in a simple proof that GR is not needed: the bending of light and Mercury's perihelion advance is found physically (not by a metric), by applying the analog of electromagnetism to gravity, which is called gravitomagnetism.
Gravitomagnetism was suggested in 1893 by the great theorist Oliver Heaviside, and further developed by Oleg Jefimenko. He found that relativity must be seen as the effect of the retardation of fields by the speed of light.
The paper that successfully shows the correct bending of light and the correct Mercury perihelion advance is called: "Did Einstein cheat?".
It shows that the speed of the Sun produces a magnetic-like gravity field that makes Mercury's orbit change a bit by an extra attraction, which causes the exact advance.

i don't think it means a cheat.....because:
did they (Oliver Heaviside and Oleg Jefimenko) said gravity is an aspect of geometry?
as a physicist I follow physics and its evidences not the persons like Einstein, Newton, though they are impressive.
therefore i don't accept 'Einstein as a cheat' until you prove it. you submit or comment with proper proofs then i accept your claims....

Dear s h s hussainsha, if you read Gravitomagnetism, you will see how many issues are solved. There is no need to prove GRT wrong if there exists a superior theory.
