I am using ansys fluent to simulate a steady state phenomenon, even though the residual curves are absolutely flatten, pathlines keep changing their patterns over more iteration. I was wondering somebody can help me out with this problem.

First of all, in a steady field, pathlines and streamlines are equivalent. Therefore I suppose you run has not reached a steady state and you have oscillations in the velocity field.

That is right, the solution never stables, should be a steady state solutions for all the cases that the boundaries are steady?
My guess is I might have something like vortex shedding in the domain. And because of that the pathlines pattern keep changing.

if your assumption is to solve the steady form of the equations you have to get convergence, the presence of the oscillating residuals being an error. The vortex shedding is resolved only in its mean part.
But if your setting is time-dependent and your flow problem can produce vortex shedding, the solution will be time dependent and is correct that streamlines change in time. Pathlines are, conversely a map in the time and space plane.
