Ripple factor is different for, half wave, full wave and bridge rectifier. L= do/di(variation of flux with the variation of current). Induced voltage(in opposition to applied) due to change of flux(current) depends on inductor used(v=(do/di)(di/dt)=L(di/dt)), to avoid rectifier as a harmonic current source proper slection (designed), of inductors on A.C side is needed, such that rectifier load should not reflect on A.C side, immediately to avoid, rectifier loading, as harmonic current source.
