Thank you for your response. I have done the things as you mentioned but the results are same. I have attached tolerance settings and the resultant monotonic pushover curve.

The suggestions mentioned by Mehran Shahpari usually work. However, after running a few cases on braced steel frames, I found that if the target is unrealistically large the analysis stops prematurely. So, I adjusted the target to a value closer to what I was expecting to be the ultimate displacement (plus the suggestions above) and it worked. It's was kind of a trial-and-error procedure but at least the analyses were completed.

I don't know what is the target in your case, and I'm not sure if my explanation makes sense but it may worth a shot.

Thank you for your response. My target displacement here is 75 inches and i have entered the 4000 total steps and 4000 null steps but the warning still comes that "maximum number of total steps reached". My building is 5 storey building with 396 beams and almost same columns. Columns are modelled by fiber hinges with nonlinearity lumped at ends and beams are modelled by plastic hinges.

So, try to run with target displacement corresponding to around 3% of the roof drift. Then, if in this case the analysis is complete, increase the target to 5% and run again and so on so forth. This was what I did in my analysis here. Also, you’ve probably already done this but, check the units and the DOFs locked.

Out of curiosity, is your model a braced frame? what kind of material?

I tried to run the analysis with almost 3% of drift with 5000 total steps and 5000 null steps but the result is still same. Units are consistent and DOFs are locked.

This structure is reinforced concrete structure of 4 storeys.
