I have tested sun light passing efficiency through a clear plastic. With increase of sun light intensity efficiency drops. Intensity was increased almost 3 times and efficiency drops from 90% to 85%.
I want to know why this happened?
What may happen if material is different like glass?

How did you increase the intensity by 3 times? Are you sure it was 3? How did you measure it? What happened to the spectral energy distribution when you increased it?
Hello Dr Tony, I did not increase intensity, I was measuring intensity at different time of the day.
It was not exactly 3 times but around 3.
I measured light intensity with lux meter.
I do not have good idea about spectral energy distribution, so I did not work on it.
If you are measuring at different times of the day expect large variations in the spectral energy distribution, which is certainly a major cause (though as Dr Omar says, not the only cause) of the difference. This is why multijunction cells don't work as well as you might expect at times other than between 10 am and 2 pm.
