I made KFSI 1M with EC:DEC for K||K sym cell, but it suddenly dies with internal short.
We prepared salts in vacuum oven with enough temperature, (85C for 24h)
and prepared solvents with molecular sieves for a long time. (> 24h)
Is there a expiration date (or deadline for use) for KFSI electrolytes or,,,,
Is there a missing spot during process?

Your progress is fine.
Do you mean the internal short circuit is K dendrite growth and connect between 2 electrodes? What is applied current and time?
And can you reveal how you prepare your K metal and what is your separator?

Cells were dead with 0 voltage during first cycle, perhaps indicating internal short circuit...
Applied current density was 0.05mA/cm^2 and Areal capacity was 0.2mAh/cm^2...
Metal electrodes were prepared in Argon filled glove box. Sliced potassium was pressured after eliminating oxidated plane, and scraping process was done for eliminating oxide layer before assembling.
We used GF/C for separator.
There is no problem when this whole process was applied to KPF6 0.8M EC:DEC (with/without FEC).
However, cells with KFSI do not work well.
Do you think the problem is on the salt??? (maybe the purity of KFSI.... it is about 95%)

A strange situation. It could be due to the KFSI salt.
In general, KFSI-based electrolytes will exhibit much better than KPF6
