Why high molecular weight Polyamide 6 has two melting point?

I have done a DSC test of Polyamide 6 homopolymer (RV=4.0), it shows two melting point of 212.8℃ and 220.5 ℃. Do these two melting point represents the melting of γ and α crystals? How to increase the γ crystals ratio by modifying the chemical structure of PA 6?
