Why is the FDC-P1 cell line most often used when testing the biological activity of insulin or IGF?

I am a researcher testing the biological activity of growth factors.

We are looking for suitable cell lines to test the biological activity of insulin. When searching papers and literature, it was observed that the FDC-P1 cell line was used when testing the biological activity of insulin. Are FCD-P1 cells sensitive to insulin? Alternatively, please recommend a suitable cell line to test insulin biological activity.

CHO INSR 1284 is a cell line isolated from the ovary of a female Chinese hamster. Flp-In Cells (CHO-K1) cells were transfected with the gene for human insulin receptor B (M10051, NCBI GenBank), inserted in the basic vector pCDNA5-FRT-TO (cat. V6520-20 from Invitrogen). These cells can be used to investigate metabolic and mitogenic signaling of insulin metabolism and its metabolites.
