Why is the DPPH activity low in the leaf than in the root, while on the other hand, the TFC and TPC are high in the leaf than in the root of Withania somnifera? The DPPH activity is expected to be high in the leaf due to high TFC (Total flavonoid content) and Total Phenolic content. However, in the plant mentioned above, the DPPH activity is surprisingly low in the leaf and high in the root. Could someone give a possible justification for this?
