Why is my gel formation interfered?

In some of my experiments recently in lab as per the chemical reaction mechanism, I have gotten a gel formation and necessary procedures are to done to get the final precipitate, but my gel formation step is skipped and final precipitate is acquired. Kindly help me to solve this problem. I hope I have done something wrong, so please suggest the areas that I would have misdirected in the experiment.
