PhD is the highest feat for high and quality research in education. Thus, all PhD students must make the world know of their findings from their research. Their great studies always unties difficult knots in global societies, as such, they deserve publication.

As a PhD student, you will usually publish the results of your PhD research. Although your research will be described in your PhD thesis, publishing requires writing up your research findings in the form of a journal article and submitting it to one of the specialised journals within your field. It’s only when your article has been accepted by a specialised journal that you can really celebrate because that means you have successfully been published!
You may be offered to work on some external projects that could result in some publications, however be aware that accepting to work on anything that can’t be included in your PhD thesis is risky because it may distract you from earning your postgraduate degree.

Competition for academic positions is fierce, and publishing is used to select those students who stand out and separate them from the rest. Because the publishing process is highly competitive, and to publish in a high quality journal requires you to compete against researchers who are much more experienced than you, being able to publish shows that you actually know what you are doing and that you have the potential of advancing your field. PhD degree is not only a certificate of training but a recognition of an achievement of a higher learning and capability to use the knowledge gained for doing research and establishing new knowledge to solve problems. knowledge is a light, a compass in darkness and hence has to be shared and known either for immediate use or for further development, extension or modification of it and this process of sharing, making known what is obatiend is what is called publication. It is knowledge that makes us move and evolve from civilization of a lover standard to a civilization of a better and higher standard and each result obtained should be celebrated and recognized as a brick in the construction of towers of knowledge.

By having the faculty advisor co-author Journal articles with PhD students and engaging them throughout the review process. It is the most effective way to expand the boundaries of knowledge and to disseminate information.
Most students are enthusiastic about publishing and disseminating the ph result, but there remains a small portion who have no will to do how.
Most importantly, PhD students can be motivated faster with the help adequate mentorship provided by his/her immediate supervisor. He would be able to gain speed and expertise when this is provided and research outputs will not be unattainable.
